The U.S. House of Representatives plans to hold a key vote next week on overriding President Biden's veto of Staff Accounting Bulletin 121 (SAB 121). SAB 121 has sparked controversy in the crypto industry as it may impact the custody of digital assets in banks.

According to the weekly schedule published by House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, this rule is currently listed among the House's "legislative items that may be considered." Voting to override or uphold a presidential veto is a constitutional duty of the House of Representatives, so it must vote again. The vote may take place on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Although the House passed the resolution in May with 228 votes to 182, a two-thirds majority in both chambers is still required to override the veto.
