BitDAO, a decentralized autonomous organization, announced the launch of Mantle, an Ethereum Layer 2 network.
Mantle is an Ethereum Layer 2 chain that is modular. Modular networks are a novel approach to blockchain construction that differs from traditional monolithic chains in which all network operations occur on the base layer.

The Layer 2 solution aims to address the issues that plague alternatives while also genuinely enabling a Web3 ecosystem that is fit for the future and supports a diverse set of applications and use cases. Because of its higher throughput and lower costs, early adopters will find it easier to build on Mantle than competing Layer 2s.
According to the announcement, BitDAO’s Layer 2 network stack has three distinct layers. The first layer is responsible for transaction execution, while the other two are in charge of transaction finality and data availability, respectively.
Mantle, according to reports, will have more functionality than previous Layer 2 networks. According to the statement, BitDAO’s Layer 2 network will have quicker throughput and lower costs and will be driven by a decentralized data availability layer. Mantle transaction costs will be paid using BitDAO’s governance token, BIT.
Beyond BitDAO‘s own growth, the ability to enroll people in Web3 and equip them to engage in the rapidly developing decentralized economy has ramifications. Mantle will advance Web3 accessibility, enabling previously unheard-of Web3 use cases internationally.
