According to Odaily, the ZK-native protocol QED has announced on Platform X the release of a new ZK opcode proposal, OP_CHECKGROTH 16 VERIFY. This proposal aims to enable the development of various applications on the Dogecoin network, including DeFi, NFTs, and on-chain DEXs. QED offers a fully functional ZK Rollup, and this proposal is currently under discussion with the largest mining pool in the Dogecoin ecosystem. It has also garnered the attention of several renowned cryptographers. With the introduction of the ZK opcode, the Dogecoin network is set to become the first PoW secure chain with blockchain functionalities comparable to Ethereum.
