A few days ago, @avnu_fi, a native DEX aggregator on Starknet, launched its Paymaster feature. But why is this a big deal for Starknet as a whole? Simply put: very soon, gas fees will be fully abstract on Starknet 🙅♂️ AVNU's Paymaster, currently in beta, allows users to pay gas fees in USDC/USDT, in addition to the traditional ETH and STRK. More significantly, this launch is a call to all dApps in the ecosystem to utilize their Paymaster infrastructure, meaning that Starknet users will not need ETH or STRK to navigate the ecosystem in the near future. This opens up the following possibilities: 🐺 Paying gas fees in the asset of your choice: more and more tokens will be integrated over time 🐺 Total abstraction of gas fees: you won't even realize you're paying fees 🐺 The potential for dApps to cover users' gas fees: made possible thanks to Starknet's low gas fees and AVNU's Paymaster infrastructure Over the past three years, we have developed the ideal stack to allow dApps in our ecosystem to create a UX that closely mirrors the one of web2. For all DAI users: the new DAI version is now live on Starknet! 🚨 StarkGate has recently launched the updated DAI token on Starknet, meaning that you can now swap your DAI to the new DAI at any time. We encourage all of you to migrate your DAI v0 to the new DAI version as soon as possible! To do so, you have two options 🔹 Simply swap your DAI v0 to the new DAI using any swap service on Starknet (such as @avnu_fi, @EkuboProtocol, @layerswap, @FibrousFinance, @StarkDefi, @JediSwap, @mySwap) 🔹 Withdraw your DAI v0 to the L1 through StarkGate, and then re-deposit it on Starknet. Account Abstraction is the only viable way to onboard as many people as possible into the crypto ecosystem. Even though we're transitioning from an older generation, sometimes unfamiliar with digital technology, to a new one that's completely immersed in it, the crypto ecosystem remains user-UNfriendly. Notably, the barrier to moving from a CEX to a non-custodial wallet and the chances of getting rekt are damn too high. On Starknet, we have tackled the problem head-on! We're the ONLY ones on the market offering solely Native Account Abstraction on its layer, allowing our users to experience a web 3 environment that increasingly mirrors the UX of web 2. gm! Earlier today, we identified a rounding error bug that led to a reorg of blocks. Starknet’s block production continued as usual. However, the reorg caused the transaction backlog to reach full capacity. Consequently, there were a few minutes during which new transactions could not be accepted for processing and were therefore rejected. Moreover, some transactions were reverted due to changing parameters (e.g. timestamps). The backlog was cleared and normal network operation resumed. We are in touch with relevant parties to ensure there are no further issues. A full analysis will be shared with the community later on.
