Ether spot ETFs are expected to have lower demand compared to their bitcoin counterparts due to the lack of a staking feature, according to a Bernstein report. Analysts Gautam Chhugani and Mahika Sapra noted that while institutional adoption of crypto is growing despite market pullbacks, the absence of an ETH staking feature in ETFs will likely result in less spot ETH conversion.

However, the basis trade, involving buying the spot ETF and selling the futures contract, should support liquidity in the ETF market. Regulatory improvements are anticipated around the U.S. elections, which could bolster the narrative for Ether and other digital assets.
