According to BlockBeats, Berachain has announced an upgrade to its V2 version on June 13. The upgrade, which introduces the BeaconKit framework, enhances the architecture and consensus mechanism, providing a better EVM smart contract development experience to boost liquidity and economic security.

Berachain V2 maintains the three-token model and PoL incentive mechanism of Berachain. Adjustments have been made to the validator settings, increasing the number of validators from 100 to 256 to support the anticipated large-scale TVL. Additionally, the new modular design enhances the collaboration and security of the entire ecosystem through shared liquidity.

The V2 version is a significant improvement over V1. It has diversified the execution clients and addressed the issue of the V1 memory pool being unable to keep up with the block space demand.
