However, insiders reveal that Apple did not pay any collaboration fees to OpenAI. Instead, Apple believes that promoting OpenAI's brand and technology on billions of Apple devices is equivalent to or even higher than direct payment.
ChatGPT will be provided for free on Apple devices, but OpenAI and Apple can profit by converting free users into paying customers. OpenAI's subscription plan starts at $20 per month, a fee that includes additional features such as data analysis and the generation of more types of images.
