⚡ Vodafone will integrate crypto wallets with SIM cards
Vodafone, a United Kingdom-based telecommunications provider, seeks to bring blockchain technology to smartphone users by integrating cryptocurrency wallets with subscriber identity module (SIM) cards. To facilitate this innovation, the company plans to take on nearly $3B in debt for Vodafone Idea, a separate entity operating in India that the Vodafone Group has a 45% stake in. Moreover, the firm has previously partnered with Microsoft to bring generative artificial intelligence (AI) services to its customers.
