Standard Chartered Bank predicts that Ethereum (ETH) #ETH could surge nearly 70% to reach $4,000 by May. The projection is based on the anticipation that applications for spot-based exchange-traded funds (ETF) will gain regulatory approval in the U.S. The analysts, led by Geoff Kendrick, believe the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) might follow a similar pattern as it did with Bitcoin, delaying decisions on spot ETF applications until granting approval close to the final deadline, set provisionally for May 23. This coincides with the final deadlines for applications from asset managers VanEck and Ark/21Shares.
