According to PANews, a bizarre incident occurred in Pakistan involving the kidnapping of a cryptocurrency trader by individuals posing as police officers. The trader was abducted by five men in a police vehicle and forced at gunpoint to transfer $340,000 from his mobile phone. The perpetrators claimed to be police officers, and local authorities have registered the case, transferring it to the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) for further investigation.

The victim reported that the suspects had previously contacted him for a cryptocurrency transaction, which he declined. Police sources have indicated that evidence related to the police mobile and the officers involved has been collected.
