In a remarkable trading success, an investor identified as 0x3b7 has reportedly closed their position in KEKIUS.

Of course, with a jaw-dropping profit of $2.86 million, representing an extraordinary 1,700x return on their initial investment.

From $1,963 to $2.86M in Just 18 Days

On December 14, 2024, the trader purchased 35.577 million KEKIUS tokens for just 0.5 ETH, equivalent to $1,963 at the time. Over the next 18 days, the token’s price skyrocketed, largely fueled by Elon Musk’s temporary rebranding of X to “Kekius Maximus.” This sudden surge saw the token’s value climb by an astonishing 4,300%.

The trader began offloading their holdings strategically, first selling 10.13 million KEKIUS for 4.91 ETH ($19.4K) on December 16. Over the past two days, they sold an additional 25.26 million tokens for 843 ETH ($2.83M). In their most recent transaction, the trader sold 559,017 KEKIUS for 39.944 ETH ($134K) at an average price of $0.239 per token.

Exit Before the Crash

Timing played a crucial role in this windfall. The trader completed their final sale just before the token’s price plummeted, triggered by Musk reversing the name change. This rapid decline underscores the volatility of meme-inspired tokens and the importance of well-timed exits.

While some speculate that 0x3b7 may have insider knowledge, their ability to capitalize on the market frenzy around KEKIUS highlights the unpredictable nature of crypto trading—and its potential for monumental gains.
