Hailey Welch, known as the “Hawk Tuah” girl, announced on December 1st that she was going to sleep after her HAWK meme coin experienced a pump and dump, resulting in accusations of rug-pulling and insider collusion. However, she has not made a single post on her social media accounts since then. OverHere, a crypto site involved in HAWK’s launch, has now spoken out, claiming that they took zero fees from the project and made no profit.
They attribute the token’s issues to a lack of transparency from Doc Hollywood, who was supposed to design the token but vanished when things got difficult. OverHere says they made mistakes by trusting the wrong partners and not speaking out sooner. They are now asking Welch to come forward and repair the situation with “truth, transparency, (and) trust.”
