Beam Network set for Horizon upgrade to adopt proof-of-stake consensus

#BeamNetwork is set to transition to a permissionless proof-of-stake consensus mechanism with the upcoming #Horizon upgrade. This change, expected by the first quarter of 2025, will allow anyone meeting the network's criteria to participate as a validator, helping secure the network by running or delegating to a Beam Node.

To become a validator, participants must stake at least one Node Token and 20,000 $BEAM. The network will offer rewards, including transaction fees and protocol incentives, to validators for securing the system. Additionally, 80% of secondary rewards will be distributed to Node Token stakers, while 20% will go to #BEAM stakers.
