Push Protocol has unveiled Push Chain, a layer 1 blockchain that interconnects chains and incorporates communication protocols into on-chain transactions. Its architecture enables interactions across EVM and non-EVM ecosystems, permitting developers to access wallet states from various networks without relying on a fractured infrastructure.
Push Chain allows transactions from any chain and features user-focused enhancements such as wallet and fee abstraction. Additionally, parallel validators and dynamic sharding tackle throughput demands. The chain introduces consumer transactions that provide flexibility for builders, enabling applications to act as universal hubs across networks.
This results in an environment where developers can create shared-state smart contracts that retrieve wallet data from distinct chains. Originally known as EPNS, Push Protocol initially aimed to deliver notifications and chat functionalities to decentralized applications and wallets. With Push Chain’s launch, these communication protocols become integrated at the chain level, transforming interactions into value-accruing on-chain transactions.
The chain’s architecture and sub-second finality suggest a scalable foundation for diverse use cases, including social platforms, gaming, finance, and cross-chain NFT trading. Blockchain-agnostic wallet addresses and Push ID technology support increased direct interoperability, enabling consolidation of multiple wallets across different chains under a single decentralized identifier.
Push Protocol has expanded its presence to other networks, including BNB Chain. Push Chain’s deployment will occur in phases, starting with consumer applications, followed by interoperability layers, and eventually universal smart contracts and shared-state capabilities.
