On November 24, Bitcoin miners found an empty block at height 871732, with only one transaction (the Coinbase block reward). This happened just 6 seconds after the previous block. Miners create empty blocks
to maximize their profits and avoid conflicts with transactions in the parent block. Since they can’t fill the block with transactions, they must try mining empty blocks to make the best use of this time.
