A judge in New York approved President-elect Trump’s request on November 23 to withdraw his “hush money” criminal case. Trump’s lawyers believe that the case will obstruct his ability to govern and must be dropped. The sentencing date for the “hush money” case was originally scheduled for November 26.

Manhattan District Attorney Bragg asked for all proceedings in the case to be delayed until the end of Trump’s presidency, but the judge set a new date for Trump to submit his withdrawal motion and for prosecutors to respond.
