Kraken, a trusted crypto platform, introduces an onchain Layer 2 (L2) blockchain called Ink and OP stack to help crypto enthusiasts engage with DeFi safely. Developers are encouraged to participate in this new venture. To get started, developers can use the Ink testnet, which is an instance of the mainnet used for testing and research.

It runs on Sepolia, an Ethereum proof-of-stake test network that mimics the functionality of the mainnet. The Ink testnet offers a block explorer, RPC endpoints, an easy-to-use bridge for Sepolia ETH, and other infrastructure found on mainnet. Developers can access the Ink testnet by updating their Kraken Wallet or adding it to MetaMask.

The Ink testnet provides an opportunity for developers to test their code and help Ink usher in the future of finance through decentralized applications.
