Hamster Kombat Telegram Game Announces Reward Cutoff Before Upcoming Airdrop 🐹

Hamster Kombat, the leading Telegram tap-to-earn crypto game by player base, announced on Tuesday through its mini app that the first season of in-game rewards will conclude on September 20, ahead of the upcoming token launch and airdrop.

An in-game message confirmed, "Season 1 ends on September 20," noting that player achievements until then "will be converted into HMSTR tokens." Hamster Kombat urged players to "level up quickly" before the deadline, reminding them of the criteria that will determine their token allocations.

In a Telegram community update on Tuesday, the Hamster Kombat team stated that a “snapshot” of players’ earnings and statuses would be taken at 6 PM UTC on September 20. However, a second reward season is set to begin after the airdrop.

The HMSTR token will be launched on The Open Network (TON) on September 26, with an airdrop claim available to players. Hamster Kombat previously reported a total player base exceeding 300 million, with Telegram data showing 94 million active players in the past month, making it the most popular Telegram game.

While the HMSTR token launch is eagerly awaited by crypto gamers, there are concerns about its potential impact on the TON network. TON experienced downtime in late August due to a smaller project’s token claim, raising fears that the scale of the Hamster Kombat airdrop could again strain the network.

Last week, TON Core developers acknowledged that the launches of both HMSTR and Catizen’s CATI token on September 20 could create "technical pressures and potentially unforeseen issues" due to the high-profile nature of the token drops.
