Good news for CZ supporters! According to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons, Binance founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao will be released on September 29. Zhao, serving a four-month sentence for violating the Bank Secrecy Act, has spent the past three months in a halfway house in San Pedro, California. He will complete his sentence 118 days after starting at Lompoc II. Zhao also agreed to a $50 million fine and resigned as Binance CEO, with Richard Teng stepping in. Moreover, Binance settled additional charges with a $4.3 million payment.
