Investment advisor become diamond hand
On 14 August, the update for 2Q24 13-F filing for US spot Bitcoin ETF was released with new holders such as Goldman Sachs ($412M) and Morgan Stanley ($188M), likely investing on behalf of clients.
The drop of BTC from $70,000 to $60,300 and the drop of the total AUM of spot bitcoin ETFs from $59.3B to $51.8B doesn’t make “investment advisors” increase their holding from 29.8% to 36.6% (from 6% to 9% of total shares). Meanwhile, hedge fund holdings have fallen from 37.7% to 30.5% (from 8% to 7% of total shares).
