A Lithuanian man stole $122 million from Google and Facebook by sending them fake invoices for payment 😳
He sent invoices from a fictitious firm from 2013 to 2015 and pulled in $23 million from Google and $99 million from Facebook.
The companies didn't understand what exactly they were paying for because of the sheer number of partners and invoices, so they simply sent the money when they saw the name of the fake organization.
The man was discovered and sentenced to five years in prison.
