According to BlockBeats, on August 8, Chris Burniske, former head of crypto at Ark Invest and current partner at Placeholder VC, shared his investment focus on social media. Burniske stated that in each cycle, he typically concentrates on a major underdog project. From 2014 to 2017, his focus was on Bitcoin (BTC), from 2018 to 2021, it was Ethereum (ETH), and from 2022 to the present, it has been Solana (SOL). He emphasized the importance of staying flexible and avoiding dogmatism.

Burniske mentioned that he still holds BTC and continues to stake ETH. He explained his current focus on SOL by highlighting its dynamic and differentiated nature as an underdog project. He noted that many people support established projects, which reduces the marginal benefit of his support. In contrast, fewer people are willing to take risks on underdog projects due to professional risks and other factors.

Burniske expressed his expertise in transitioning projects from underdog status to maturity. He acknowledged that one day he might shift his focus to projects other than SOL. Meanwhile, he remains committed to supporting all genuine efforts in the crypto space, despite emphasizing relatively superior performance in each cycle.
