Altaris is the first major upgrade to Injective following Volan which launched in January of 2024 and aims to provide the most optimized and advanced version of Injective to date.

Additionally, the maximum fee rate for all markets on Injective has been reduced from 10% to 5% or lower, benefitting all users regardless of status. The maximum fee rate has also been reduced by 50% across all markets on Injective DEXs.
This tiered structure is designed to incentivize higher levels of staking and trading activity, rewarding users with greater fee discounts as they move up the tiers.
Stake Grants
This innovative mechanism allows users to leverage stake from other community members to meet staking requirements for benefits across the ecosystem. For instance, a staker (granter) can now authorize portions of their stake for other traders (grantees) to use for exchange fee discounts on DEXs natively built on Injective.
A given trader’s staked amount for fee discounts can now be calculated as follows:
