Organizers of the upcoming Bitcoin conference in Nashville, Tennessee, are warning speakers that “a very special guest” has shaken up the event schedule, leading many insiders to believe that Donald Trump will attend after all.

The presumptive republican presidential nominee had been in talks to speak at the annual gathering of bitcoiners, according to an earlier reporter by Axios. A spokeswoman for the conference did not immedialty comment.

“In light of a very special guest (TBA) who will be speaking at the conference, we have rearranged many of the talks across the agenda,” said the email sent midday Wednesday to speakers. Coindesk reviewed the email.

Former President Trump has learned into Bitcoin and crypto rhetoric since coming out in favor of the industry at his NFT gala this spring. He’s since baked pro-Bitcoin policies into the core Republican Party platform, casting a strong contrast with the Biden administration.

A speech at the Bitcoin conference would likely burnish Trump's self-assigned image of crypto booster, despite previous misgivings of the tech during his first administration.
