However, trading activity tells a different story. Volume has dropped sharply by 32% to $649M, signaling weakening market participation. In low-liquidity environments like this, whales often reposition quietly—waiting for a clearer directional signal before making aggressive moves.
🐋 Whale Activity: Silent Accumulation or Just Rebalancing?
Data from CryptoQuant shows that large spot orders have consistently appeared around $9.2 over the past 5 out of 7 days. This suggests either strategic accumulation or distribution at a key price zone.
More intriguingly, on-chain data from Lookonchain reveals that a whale created 10 new wallets and withdrew 1.62M LINK (~$14.8M), later transferring funds to Flowdesk-linked deposit addresses.

Coinbase is using Chainlink’s new DataLink service to push its exchange market data directly onchain for the first time.
Onchain protocols and apps will now be able to stream a wide range of information feeds, including from Coinbase International Exchange and Coinbase Derivatives Exchange. This will make its order book and futures trading data — including its newer perps, equities, and commodities data — easier to access and verify.
In addition to monetizing the largest U.S. exchange’s valuable proprietary market information — as it attempts to scale into the "everything exchange" and a full-service prime broker — the institution-grade benchmarks could also unlock a host of new onchain use cases or improve existing ones.
"Our benchmarks enable DeFi and TradFi developers to build more robust onchain apps across derivatives, tokenized assets, and more," Coinbase Markets Vice President Liz Martin said in a statement.
Johann Eid, chief business officer at Chainlink Labs, echoed the sentiment, noting that "the future of finance requires a foundation of uncompromising security."
"We aren't just moving data; we are building the programmable market infrastructure defining the next era of tokenization and accelerating the convergence of institutional finance and DeFi," Eid said.
The move is just the latest integration between Coinbase and Chainlink. The exchange previously tapped the oracle provider as its “exclusive bridging solution” for wrapped assets like cbBTC, cbETH, and cbDOGE, and as a service provider for the Base-Solana Bridge.
DataLink, Chainlink's enterprise-friendly bridge that brings "offchain" institutional data into the onchain world, launched late last year and is also being used by S&P Global and FTSE Russell. Chainlink claims to have secured nearly $100 billion in DeFi total value locked and facilitated over $25 trillion in onchain transactions. It is also an oracle provider for Swift, JPMorgan, and Mastercard.
