What Is Enzyme (MLN)?

Enzyme is a DeFi Operating System that provides access to over 350 digital assets to asset managers, DAOs, treasury managers, and investors. Enzyme enables asset managers and fund sponsors to create their own tokenized investment vehicles by automating back and middle office processes with smart contracts. The platform is powered by the Ethereum ERC-20 $MLN token. The live price of MLN is live-tracked on Binance.

Enzyme has designed two use cases for its platform: Users who want to use Enzyme to create Smart Vault and those looking to deposit into these said vaults.

Enzyme enables users to create and purportedly monetize non-custodial Smart Vaults that can be used to develop novel investment strategies ranging from discretionary to ETFs, market making, yield farming, lending, and more. Enzyme enables Vault creators to use Enzyme's various building blocks without having any prior knowledge of software engineering.

Enzyme allows users to find and deposit into Vault strategies in a non-custodial and transparent manner, allowing users to reportedly maximize upside potential while allegedly eliminating day-to-day research and portfolio management. Users can do this while maintaining control of user funds and the ability to exit Vaults at any time.

MLN is the native token of the platform and serves to enable token holders to participate in the platform's governance. MLN allows users to vote on and suggest improvement proposals alongside a council of "trusted" members.

Organizations like Unslashed Finance, FWB DAO, Human DAO, and many others use Enzyme.

People Also Ask: Other Questions About Enzyme

  1. What Is Enzyme Protocol?

The Enzyme Protocol is a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform that facilitates the management and trading of digital assets. It is built on the Ethereum blockchain and allows users to create and manage investment funds, known as "vaults," with various strategies and asset allocations.

  2. What Is the Use of MLN Coin?

MLN is the native token on the Enzyme platform. The token is used to carry out fund operations and vote on protocol parameters such as the inflation rate. According to Enzyme, transaction costs or performance and management fees may be incurred as part of fund operations.

  3. How does the MLN burn mechanism work?

Enzyme members utilize ETH to cover transaction costs, and the network has a built-in system that depends on the Melon Engine functionality to convert all ETH used for fees into MLN tokens. The Engine sells ETH in exchange for MLN at a higher rate, subsequently reducing the overall supply by burning the acquired MLN tokens. This process helps maintain supply regulation by removing these tokens from circulation.

  4. Who Is the Enzyme Founder?

Enzyme was originally called Melon Protocol before rebranding to Enzyme in 2020. A private company developed the former Melon Protocol in 2016 with Mona El Isa, a former Goldman Sachs vice president and founder of Avantgarde Finance, and mathematician Rito Trinkle at the helm of development.

  5. How many MLN coins are there?

At the time of writing, the maximum supply of Enzyme is 2,069,781 MLN, with a circulating supply of 2,065,635 MLN.

  6. What Makes Enzyme Different From Others?

Enzyme enables depositors to interact with its vaults in a non-custodial manner, with minimal trust between the parties. This gives new and experienced users the ability to develop their own strategy contracts without having an extensive programming background. Enzyme claims to remove the barriers that prevent average investors from participating in traditional financial markets by managing investment funds. Traditional financial markets and asset management are typically reserved for high-net-worth individuals, with the cost of entry prohibitively expensive for the average investor.
