What are Sync Modes for Chart Drawings and Technical Indicators?

Binance offers 2 sync modes for Kline charts: Chart Drawings Sync Mode and Chart Indicators Sync Mode.

Chart Drawings Sync Mode is a feature that saves your chart drawings to the server, syncing them across all your devices with the feature enabled. This enhances trading and analysis efficiency by eliminating the need to recreate drawings on different devices every time you log in to use the charts.

Chart Indicators Sync Mode, on the other hand, saves your indicator settings placed on the chart to the server, and across your devices.

Key Benefits:

• Save used drawings and indicator settings on chart.
• Sync saved drawings and technical indicators across all your devices. Changes made to your drawings and indicator settings will also be reflected across your other devices.
• When this mode is enabled, drawings and indicator settings will be saved on app even if app is uninstalled or cache is cleared and saved on web even when cache/cookies are cleared on web browser.

Notes:

• Available on Web and App. Kindly update your app to the latest version.
• Available on Spot, Margin, Futures, Spot Grid, and Futures Grid charts.
• For Chart Drawings Sync Mode:
  • Drawings made to one trading pair (i.e BTC/USDT) on one product (i.e. Spot) will also be synced to other products with the same trading pair (i.e. BTC/USDT on Margin and Spot Grid).
  • Limited to 100 drawings per symbol/trading pair.
• For Chart Indicators Sync Mode:
  • Enabling Chart Indicators Sync Mode will automatically turn on the [Multiple Main Indicator Setting].
  • Indicators are reflected across all tokens/symbols and Trading products (Spot, Margin, Futures, Spot Grid, Futures Grid).
  • Colours and Width are included in the sync.
• Only drawings and technical indicators created on Original Chart View are supported. Drawings and technical indicators created on TradingView are not supported and are not included in the sync.
• Although the data for all drawings and indicators will be saved to the server, only drawings and technical indicators that are supported on the respective platforms will be displayed. For example, if a technical indicator is only available on web, it will be saved, but it will not be displayed on app.

Other features offered:

• Overwrite Drawings: When enabled, drawings for the trading pair/symbol saved locally on your device will overwrite or replace the drawings saved on the server.
• Add Drawings: When enabled, drawings for the trading pair/symbol saved locally on your device will be added on the server. Existing drawings on the server will be retained (not replaced) and new drawings that are not yet existing will be added to the server.

• Overwrite (for Indicators): When enabled, indicator settings saved locally will replace the indicator settings added on the server.

How to use Chart Drawings Sync Mode and Chart Indicators Sync Mode on the Binance website?

1. Log in to your Binance account and go to any of the following trading pages: Spot, Futures, Spot Grid, or Futures Grid.

2. Go to [Settings] - [Preference]. Under “Chart Synchronization”, enable [Chart Drawings Sync Mode] and/or [Chart Indicators Sync Mode].

3. For Chart Drawings Sync Mode, you will see the options to [Overwrite Drawings] or [Add Drawings]. Tap [Confirm] or [Cancel].

4. For Chart Indicators Sync Mode, you can click [Overwrite] to replace existing indicators on the server with indicators saved locally.

How to use Chart Drawings Sync Mode and Chart Indicators Sync Mode on the Binance app?

1. Log in to Binance App and go to any of the trading pages: Spot, Futures, Spot Grid or Futures Grid.

2. Select a trading pair and view the chart.

3. Go to [Chart Settings] - [More] and enable the tab beside [Chart Drawings Sync Mode] and/or [Chart Indicators Sync Mode]. In this example, a Kline chart is selected.

4. For Chart Drawings Sync Mode, you will see the options to [Overwrite Drawings] or [Add Drawings]. Tap [Confirm] or [Cancel].

5. For Chart Indicators Sync Mode, you can click [Overwrite] to replace existing indicators on the server with indicators saved locally.
