Frequently Asked Questions on Incorrect Deposits

2018-01-05 02:56

There are a number of reasons that may affect your deposits to Binance. Here are some possible reasons:

1. Missing or wrong tag

If you forgot to use or used a wrong tag, memo, or payment ID (e.g., BNB, XLM, XRP, etc), your deposit won’t be credited to your Binance account.

To recover your assets, you can apply via the Unknown Memo/Tag Recovery page.

Note: For security reasons, after the asset is successfully retrieved, it will be returned to the source address immediately. If there are security or other related issues with the source address of the transaction, please resolve these issues in advance. Binance doesn’t support modification of refund addresses.

2. Deposited to an incorrect receiving/deposit address, or deposited an unlisted token

Binance generally does not offer a token/coin recovery service. However, if you have suffered a significant loss as a result of incorrectly deposited tokens/coins, Binance may, solely at our discretion, assist you in recovering your tokens/coins. Binance has comprehensive procedures to help our users recover their financial losses. Please note that successful token recovery is not guaranteed. If you’re in a similar situation, please provide the following information for us to assist you:

  • Your Binance account email;
  • Token name;
  • Deposit amount;
  • The corresponding TxID.

3. Deposited to an incorrect address that doesn't belong to Binance

If you sent your tokens to an incorrect address that doesn’t belong to Binance, we’re unable to provide any further assistance. You can try to contact the relevant parties for assistance (owner of the address or exchange/platform that the address belongs to).
