Sub-accounts allow you to trade through multiple accounts. You can use them to divide responsibilities and manage transactions.
The sub-account function is available to all Binance users who complete identity verification and enable 2FA.
Eligible regular users can proceed to create a sub-account by following the steps in the “How to create a sub-account?” section below. On the other hand, sub-accounts will be automatically created for all eligible corporate and individual accounts that are VIP 1 or higher. The list of eligible sub-accounts will be automatically updated daily at 01:00 (UTC).
Sub-accounts let users create multiple accounts to trade with API through email and virtual emails. It is suitable for individual users with advanced trading knowledge or a trading team, who may benefit from having multiple accounts to test and execute various trading strategies with, as well as users who may wish to separate their assets across different accounts for risk management purposes.
1. Log in to your master account and click [Profile] - [Dashboard].
2. Go to [Sub Accounts] - [Account Management] and click [+ Create Sub Account].
3. You can create a sub-account with a regular email address, virtual email address, or through a third-party custodian.
3.1 If you want to create a sub-account with a regular email address
Select [Create with email] and enter your email address. Please use a valid email address that is not used by another Binance account. Then enter a password and click [Create Sub Account].
Please note that you must verify your email address after creating your account.
3.2 If you want to create a sub-account with a virtual email address
Select [Create with virtual email] and enter the name of your sub-account. A virtual email address using the name you’ve entered will be created. Then click [Create Sub Account].
Please note that when you create a sub-account with a virtual email, the sub-account can only be operated by the master account through API. The virtual email cannot be used to log in to a sub-account. Please create an API Key for the sub-account.
3.3 If you want to create a sub-account with a third-party custodian
Select [3rd-Party Custodian]. Then, select a third party, add an email address, and set up a password.
Please note that creating a sub-account using a third-party custodian will integrate with a third-party off-exchange-settlement (OES) program. OES allows users to keep their assets under an external custodian account, while trading on the exchange and periodically settling via integrated OES network. In order to implement the OES integration, you need to open an account on the external custodian platform before linking it to a sub-account on Binance.
4. Once the sub-account is successfully created, you can view it under the [Account Management] tab and manage its account permissions.
Click the [Account Management] tab to manage all sub-accounts under your master account. Regular users are limited to five sub-accounts, while the number of sub-accounts for VIP users varies based on the VIP level of their master account.
Go to the [API Management] tab to create and edit sub-account API Keys and API access. Each sub-account can create up to 30 API Keys, which can be used to place/inquiries/positions etc., through the sub-account in the public API interface.
You can browse the different assets and view the balance of the master account and all sub-accounts under the [Asset Management] tab. Click [Transfer] to move assets between the master account and sub-accounts instantly without any fees.
In addition, you can deposit your assets into the sub-account simply by clicking [Deposit].
You can browse and filter your order and trade history for spot, margin, and futures by date and trading pairs under the [Order Management] tab.
To export your order or trade history, click [Export] and select the time period and sub-account.
You can view all sub-accounts’ deposit or transfer records under [Transaction History].
Under the [Login History] tab, you can view the login history for all sub-accounts by date, IP address, and location.
You can view yesterday's and last 30 days' trading volume for a specific sub-account in a line chart under the [Transaction Statistics] tab.
