Frequently Asked Questions on Binance P2P Additional Verification for Ads

Binance P2P has launched the additional verification for posting ads to promote a reliable and transparent trading environment for all P2P users.

You can enable this function on the app, website, and Merchant Portal. We’ll use the app interface as an example below.

Note: This function is only applicable to P2P Verified Merchants.

1. What is additional verification for ads and how to enable it?

When posting an ad, makers can enable additional verification by checking the box next to [Require additional documents]. All takers who place orders from the ad will be required to provide the additional documents for the maker to verify.

If choose to enable the function:

• Make sure you set a longer payment time limit (30 minutes and above are recommended).
• Clearly state your required verification document list in the auto-reply section.
• Takers won’t be able to view the payment details until they complete the required verification.
• Both maker and taker must comply with the Binance P2P Additional Verification Requirements & Guidelines.

2. How to identify ads that require additional verification?

If additional verification is required, you’ll see a [Requires Verification] tag on the ad.

3. I am a taker. How to proceed with an order that requires additional verification?

For buy orders:

1. Tap [Verify Now] and you’ll be redirected to the order chat to view the maker’s required documents and terms. Please make sure you cooperate with the maker on providing the required verification documents.

2. After the maker verifies your documents, you’ll see a [Make Payment] button. Tap it to view their payment details. Do not make any payment before you complete the additional verification.

For sell orders:

1. Tap [Verify Now] and you’ll be redirected to the order chat to view the maker’s required documents and terms. Please make sure you cooperate with the maker on providing the required verification documents.

2. Your payment details will be shown to the maker after they verify your documents. Do not share your payment details before you complete the additional verification.

4. I am a maker. How to proceed with an order that requires additional verification?

For buy orders:

1. Go to the order chat to review the taker’s additional verification documents.

2. Once you’re satisfied, tap [Order Verified]. You’ll see the taker’s payment details and can proceed to make payment. Do not make any payment before verifying the taker’s additional verification documents.

For sell orders:

1. Go to the order chat to review the taker’s additional verification documents.

2. Once you’re satisfied, tap [Order Verified] and your payment details will be shown to the taker. Do not share any payment details before the taker completes the additional verification.

3. Wait for the taker to complete payment within the time limit you set.
