Updates on Tick Size, Leverage & Margin Tiers of Multiple Perpetual Contracts (2022-12-14)

2022-12-14 13:41
Fellow Binancians,
In order to increase market liquidity and improve your trading experience, Binance will adjust the tick size (i.e., the minimum change in the unit price) of the following perpetual futures contracts at 2022-12-16 06:30 (UTC), as shown in the table below.
  • The adjustment will not impact USDⓈ-M and COIN-M Futures trading operations.
  • Tick size via API will also change. API users may use GET /fapi/v1/exchangeInfo and GET /dapi/v1/exchangeInfo for the latest tick size of USDⓈ-M and COIN-M perpetual futures contracts respectively. For further details and updates, please refer to our full API Changelog.
  • The tick size update will not affect existing orders. After the tick size is updated, orders placed before the update will be matched with the original tick size.
The specific adjustment details are as follows:

Notes:
  • It is important to note that the maintenance margin change will directly affect liquidation price. Users who hold existing positions of the above USDⓈ-M Perpetual Contracts will be affected. To avoid being liquidated (i.e., margin ratio hits 100%), please add more margin to your USDⓈ-M Futures account or reduce your positions. It is recommended to control the margin ratio below 80%.
  • Maintenance margin rate change will affect the funding rates of the above USDⓈ-M Perpetual Contracts. For more details on funding rate, please refer to Introduction to Binance Futures Funding Rates.
