Frequently Asked Questions on Binance Standard Referral Mode

Frequently Asked Questions on Binance Standard Referral Mode

2021-04-19 09:01
Last updated: 26 June 2024
1. What is the Binance Standard Referral Mode?
For every new user successfully referred to Binance via the Standard Referral Mode, the referrer will receive a commission on fees anytime the referred user trades on any of Binance’s Spot or Futures markets. This means you can now invite users via a Spot standard referral link or a Futures referral link and receive the commission from both. Please note that the referral commission for the Futures market is limited to 12 months starting from the time the invitee opens a Futures account.
2. Can my invitee use my standard referral code after creating their Binance account?
A referral code must be used when the user open a Binance account. Please make sure that you or your invitees enter the correct referral code. If they forget to use the referral code when signing up or entered the wrong referral code, the commission cannot be collected.
3. How can I check my commission history?
You can check your referral commission from [Referral] - [Commission Rebate]. The funds are credited to your account every hour.
You can also click on the chart icon to download your commission rebate data.
4. Why haven’t I received the referral commission from my invitees?
Standard Referral commission is calculated in real-time and transferred to the respective Binance accounts every hour. You will only be able to receive referral commissions once your invitee makes a transaction.
The inviter is eligible to receive referral commissions from invitees who are regular users or those within the VIP 1-2 tiers. From 2023-06-29 02:00 (UTC), referral commissions will be discontinued for all referred users who reach VIP 3 or higher. This applies to all existing and new referred users.
For Futures trading, you can only receive a referral commission from invitees who are regular or VIP 1 users for 12 months from their respective days of registration. To earn both Spot and Futures commission when referring a friend, you will need to ensure you have opened a Futures account. If you refer a friend using your Spot standard referral link but you haven’t opened a Futures account, then you can only earn commission from their Spot trading fees.
5. How can I check the UID of the invitees I referred?
Go to [Standard Referral] and click [Referrals]. You can see their UIDs under [All Accounts].
6. Can I change my referrer?
No, once the referral relationship has been established, it cannot be changed.
7. What’s the difference between referral commission and rebate?
The referral commission rate and the rebate rate are both a part of the base referral bonus. Once the invitee makes a transaction, the inviter will receive a referral commission and the invitee will receive a rebate.
8. As a referee, why can't I receive a rebate from my own future trading?
  • The future trading fee rebate is only valid for 30 days from the date of Futures account activation.
  • Under the provisions of our Future Referral Program, referrers are permitted to adjust the rebate rate for their referees, within a spectrum of 0% to 10%, at any time they deem appropriate. If the referrers assign a 0% rebate rate for their referees, this will render the referees ineligible for a rebate on their futures trading fees during their first month. Furthermore, it is important to note that any alterations to the rebate ratio by the referrers for their referees will be instantaneously implemented and will apply uniformly to all referees.
9. When will I receive the standard referral commission and what’s the settlement token?
All standard referral commissions (those received by inviters and those shared with their invited friends) are calculated in real-time and transferred to the respective Binance accounts every hour.
The settlement assets of referral commissions are the same as the commission fees generated by the actual transaction of the invited friend (invitee). If the invitee uses the BNB fee discount, the settlement assets of referral commissions and referral commissions returned will be in BNB.
10. When is my referral rate updated?
Referral rates are calculated at 02:00 (UTC) every day and are updated at 10:00 (UTC).
11. Where can I find my standard referral link?
If you're using the Binance website, log in to your Binance account and click [Profile] - [Referral] - [Standard Referral].
Alternatively, log in to your Binance App and tap [Referral] on the homepage and go to [Standard Referral].
12. How do I create, set up, and manage my referral links?
  • Log in to your Binance account and click [Profile] - [Referral] - [Standard Referral]. Click [Change referral settings >].
  • Click [+ Add New Referral] and set your friends’ commission rebate rate. The default referral rate is 20%, you can choose to share 0%, 5%, or 10% with the friends you invite. Click [Save].
  • Click [Copy Link] next to the invite link and send it to your friends. Once they successfully register at Binance and start trading, referral commissions (those received by you and those shared with your invited friends) are calculated in real-time and transferred to the respective Binance accounts every hour.
13. Can I delete my current Binance Account and register for a new account with a new referral code?
If the system detects that a user has deleted his account in order to create a new account to benefit from the referral program, Binance reserves the right to terminate all referral commissions from the account.
14. How do the new MiCA stablecoin rules impact the way European Economic Area (EEA) users receive commission?
1) Commission from Spot and Margin
From 2024-06-26, users from the EEA will receive their commission (including the commission rebate received as the inviter and the shared commission received as the invitee) in USDC or BNB. After the commission is generated, it will be calculated and converted to USDC or BNB on an hourly basis. Once the conversion is complete, the commission in BNB or USDC will be deposited into the user's Spot Wallet within 6 hours.
For example, if an invitee traded between 14:00 and 15:00, the original commission for that hour will be converted into USDC or BNB between 15:00 and 16:00 and will be transferred to the inviter's Spot Wallet within 6 hours of conversion. Inviters can check the converted USDC or BNB amount through [Standard Referral] - [Commission Rebate], while invitees can refer to [Standard Referral] - [Shared Commission] for details.
Notes:
  • Please note that while Binance can't assure a specific exchange rate, it will be determined by the prevailing rate at the time of conversion.
  • If the amount of the commission (received by the inviter) or rebate (received by the invitee) asset for a filled order, when multiplied by the exchange rate (exchange rate = price of the commission/rebate asset ÷ price of the actual distributed asset), is lower than 0.00000001 USDC (or other regulated tokens), then the commission or rebate for that filled order cannot be distributed to the inviter or invitee.
    • For example, the invitee traded Token A and the commission or rebate for the filled order is 0.1 Token A. The price of Token A at that time was 0.00000001 USDT, and the actual commission or rebate asset was in USDC (1 USDC = 1 USDT). Since 0.1 Token A * (0.00000001 / 1) = 0.000000001 USDC, which is lower than 0.00000001 USDC, this order is not eligible for a commission or rebate.
2) Commission from Futures
From 2024-06-27,users from the EEA will receive "Binance Credit" as Futures commissions. Once the commission is generated, it will be converted into "Credit" and deposited into the USDⓈ-M Futures Wallet. You can convert the received "Credit" into other digital assets via Coin Swap on the Futures page.
Please note that the conversion rate of "Binance Credit" into other digital assets is subject to the real-time rate provided by Coin Swap.
