According to recent reports, Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajić has been identified as one of the early investors in Terraform Labs. 😲 SEC documents revealed that Spajić bought 750,000 Luna tokens in 2018 by depositing $75,000, and these tokens were worth $90 million at their peak. However, with the failure of the Terraform project in 2022, more than $40 billion was lost for investors worldwide. 😱
Spajić purchased Luna tokens at a low price of $0.10 despite the high risks. However, when the value of Luna tokens dropped from $119 to almost zero in the spring of 2022, there were huge losses for investors.
Spajić did not inform the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption that he owned Luna tokens. In his 2020 and 2021 reports, he reported owning €150,000 worth of Bitcoin. He mentioned various cryptocurrencies in later reports but did not specify their values.
Terraform Labs and Kwon were accused of defrauding investors and reached a settlement in which the company had to pay $4.37 billion in fines and interest. Kwon is currently detained in Montenegro and is expected to be extradited to the United States or South Korea for trial.
So do you think Spajić approached Kwon to get back his investment or make up for lost profits? We are waiting your comments! 😊👇
