Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has appealed a $4.4 million fine imposed by the Financial Transactions Analysis Center of Canada (FINTRAC) in May. 📉 Binance is accused of violating anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing regulations. The exchange said it did not provide its services to Canadian residents and plans to exit the Canadian market in May 2023 due to the complex regulatory environment. This FINTRAC decision is separate from Binance's other legal issues in other countries.
