The Supreme Court of Nigeria has rejected a lawsuit filed by Binance Country Manager Nadeem Anjarwalla. Anjarwalla alleged that government agencies violated his fundamental rights by detaining him and confiscating his passport. 🏛️
Justice Inyang Ekwo on June 19 dismissed Anjarwalla's case against the Office of the National Security Adviser and the Economic and Financial Crime Commission due to "lack of diligent prosecution."
Anjarwalla filed the lawsuit on March 28, seeking to declare the agencies' actions illegal. He alleged that the agencies violated Section 35(1) and (4) of the 1999 Nigerian Constitution.
Anjarwalla, who has dual British and Kenyan citizenship, remains in Kenya while Nigeria works to extradite him.
