Odaily Planet Daily News Ripple Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty publicly responded to the US SEC's allegations against the company. Prior to this, Ripple proposed to reduce its fine in the XRP lawsuit to no more than $10 million, which was much lower than the $2 billion initially requested by the SEC, and compared it with the case of Terraform Labs. Alderoty posted on X that the SEC was "angry" because Ripple did not make any concessions but argued for its rights. He emphasized that the court had clarified that XRP was not a security under certain conditions and pointed out that there were no victims who needed to be compensated. (Bitcoin.com)
