According to Donald Trump, "all remaining" Bitcoin should be produced in the United States
On Tuesday (June 11) evening at Mar-a-Lago, former President Donald Trump met with leaders of the Bitcoin mining industry to pledge his support and advocacy for the sector locally and globally. Trump thanked the miners for stabilizing the electricity system and pledged help from the White House.
Trump campaign announced on Truth Social "VOTE FOR TRUMP!" after the meeting. Bitcoin mining could be our ultimate defense against CBDC. China, Russia and the radical communist left are benefiting from Biden's hostility towards Bitcoin.
We want all remaining Bitcoin to be made in the USA! This will increase our energy dominance!”
Zach Bradford, CEO of Cleanspark Inc., said: “We work hard every day to keep rural communities in Georgia and Mississippi great. BTC mining is building the infrastructure of the future and we are working hard to get our past, present and future leaders to support us as America's Bitcoin miner.
The discussion also touched upon politics and myths related to the mining industry. Amanda Fabiano, founder of Fabiano Consulting and board member of Terawulf Inc. (NASDAQ: WULF), emphasized the need for educated political support: “Our industry faces an enormous political fight fueled by disinformation and false narratives. Our sector demands lawmakers interested in the benefits of Bitcoin and Bitcoin mining.”
I met with former President Trump today to address important issues on both sides that impact our lives, said Marathon Digital CFO Salman Khan. We appreciate the recognition of the importance of our industry and will fight for its future.”
This meeting comes as the Biden administration and Democratic lawmakers analyze the environmental impact of BTC mining.
