1. IO. What is NET?
io. net is a decentralized AI computing and cloud platform. By pooling GPU supply from underutilized sources, io. net creates a network that gives machine learning (ML) startups access to nearly unlimited computing power at a fraction of the cost of the traditional cloud.
The goal is to provide low-cost computing power and faster processing times than current solutions
2. Token Usecase
IO is the native utility token of io. net and is used in the following functions:
Payment Currency: Payments and transaction fees in the io ecosystem. net, such as purchasing/provisioning underutilized GPU computing power, deploying GPU clusters.
Staking: Users can participate in cyber security and earn idle GPU rewards by:
Delegate $IO token staking to the node of their choice.
Directly stake more $IO tokens to operate on their own node.
Governance: The IO token allows holders to participate in the governance of the IO Grants DAO by proposing, voting, and implementing grant proposals that guide the capital allocation and strategic direction of the Internet of GPUs Foundation.

The ecosystem includes the following core elements:
io. net: Development company that maintains the IOG Network and builds products and services on the network, such as:
- O Cloud: A cloud platform that allows developers to virtualize clusters that are configurable and infinitely scalable on demand using the computing power in the IOG Network.
- IO Worker: Provides users with a comprehensive and user-friendly interface to manage their GPU node operations efficiently through an intuitive web application.
- O ID: Global Identity Management for the IO Ecosystem.

4. Call for capital
io. net has raised $40 million from two private sales rounds, with the most recent valuation at $1 billion. This represents 36.24% of the original token supply and 22.65% of the maximum token supply.
As of June 6, 2024, the fixed maximum supply is 800,000,000 tokens and the initial supply at TGE is 500,000,000 tokens. Circulating supply upon listing will be 95,000,0000 (19.00% of native token supply).

Batch inference and model serving: Performing inference on batches of incoming data can be parallelized by exporting the architecture and weights of the trained model to a shared object store . io. net enables machine learning teams to build inference pipelines and serve models across distributed GPU networks.
Parallel training: CPU/GPU memory limitations and sequential processing pose a major bottleneck when training models on a single device. http://io.net leverages distributed computing libraries to orchestrate and train batches of jobs so that they can be parallelized across multiple distributed devices using data parallelism and model.
Parallel hyperparameter tuning: Hyperparameter tuning experiments are inherently parallel and io. net leverages distributed computing libraries with advanced Hyperparam tuning to test for best results, optimize scheduling, and simply specify search patterns.
Reinforcement Learning: http://io.net uses an open source reinforcement learning library that supports highly distributed, production-grade RL workloads along with a simple set of APIs.
