The introduction is a bit long! Please be patient and watch!

1. Activity introduction

CyberTrek, the full name of CyberAccount Trek, was launched by CyberConnect, a decentralized social graph project. The event will last for two months, involve 6 major public chains, and provide a reward of US$1.8 million.

There will be a sub-activity every two weeks, and each sub-activity will invite an ecological project of a public chain to conduct online activities. The identified cooperative public chains include Polygon, Linea, Optimism, etc.

In addition, an important purpose of CyberTrek is to promote Account Abstraction technology to users.

The CyberConnect team will launch CyberAccount, a smart contract account based on the ERC-4337 standard, to select users during the event.

3. Participation profit-loss ratio

When the CyberTrek event first came out, it was actually labeled Odyssey. Some users even joked that CyberConnect even changed its name thoughtfully to prevent users from being scared.

But is CyberTrek really as bad as netizens ridicule it?

I believe that after reading my introduction to account abstraction above, combined with the purpose of this activity and the current popularity of account abstract narrative, you should be able to understand the significance and value of this activity.

cost

To participate in this activity, users need to have a whitelist first, and they also need to pay about 10 US dollars in GAS to experience the account abstraction function. These are probably the costs that users have to pay.

income

As for the corresponding income, CyberConnect also mentioned it during the promotion of the event, and will prepare 1.8 million US dollars in rewards, including the following:

  1. Recharge $10 GAS to receive a Mini Shard;

  2. Claim your free CyberConnect V3 eVANGELIST NFT, just a signature, no GAS required;

  3. After completing three tasks, you can receive two more Mini Shards;

  4. By linking to Twitter, you can participate in the lottery, and 20 people will be drawn, and each person will receive 150 Mini Shard fragments.

The $10 we recharge here as GAS can continue to be used in the wallet, but users need to pay attention to the following risks:

  1. At present, after receiving the Mini Shard, it will not be sent directly to the user's wallet. It will not be transferred until CyberWallet is launched in the future;

  2. Mini Shard is an NFT in the form of ERC-1155. The price on Opensea is about 6U, but the transaction is currently closed due to the completion of the snapshot. In the future, transactions may be opened in other ways, or there may be other redemption methods.

In addition, from the perspective of airdrops, CyberConnect is currently almost the leader in the ERC-4337 track. Binance launchpool has launched its token mining, and other exchanges will basically follow suit.

4. Operation tutorial

Next, let’s take a look at CyberTrek’s specific participation process.

1. Check your qualifications

To participate in the event, you first need to enter the whitelist. The whitelist criteria include: holding designated NFT, reaching the designated social platform level, etc. If you are not sure, you can check whether you are in the whitelist on the official page.

2. Get CyberConnect V3 Evangelist NFT

After confirming the whitelist qualifications, you can click to claim the free CyberConnect V3 Evangelist NFT.

There is no fee to receive this NFT, and CyberConnect will pay the gas fee on your behalf. Here is the application of Paymaster (payer) and parallel processing of multiple transactions in the account abstraction concept.

The NFT claimed is the certificate to obtain the CyberAccount, so it is the first task we need to complete.

3. Top up your CyberAccount

After owning the NFT, you need to top up your CyberAccount. For every recharge of $10 and above, you will be rewarded with a Mini Shard.

There is no upper limit on the recharge amount, and you can recharge multiple times, but the token reward can only be received once, and the recharge amount will not be refunded as GAS.

Recharge supports multiple currencies, and the first supported networks include Polygon, Linea, BSC, etc.

In actual operation, you can choose the most convenient network to recharge. Here we can choose the Linea chain to recharge ETH, so that you can participate in activities and interact with Linea.

Linea currently we can use Orbiter or Layerswap to cross over from other chains.

If you want to save money, you can also choose to recharge Polygon’s $Matic. You only need to recharge 10 $Matic (7 US dollars) to reach the standard.

3. Use CyberAccount

After the recharge is completed, the CyberAccount can be freely switched between different networks without the need for manual transfers. In subsequent sub-activities, you need to use CyberAccount to perform specified operations, such as receiving airdrops, etc. You can obtain corresponding rewards by completing the tasks.

Here we can receive CyberWallet Early Access NFT and experience the cross-chain payment function of CyberAccount.

Users can use different chains to claim it. For example, if we use Linea to recharge the GAS fee, we can use the Polygon chain to claim and pay for GAS.

4. Other tasks

After completing the above tasks, there are three rewards at the bottom that can be claimed.

  1. All participating users can receive two fragments, with a limit of 300,000;

  2. Share the event on social media such as Twitter and participate in the fragment lottery;

  3. Get early access to CyberWallet.

5. Summary

CyberTrek is an experiential activity with the theme of account abstraction. The user experience is no longer clichéd things such as lending, cross-chain, and minting. This is what makes it different from other Odyssey activities.

However, its whitelist operation still sets a threshold for users who want to participate in the activity. Moreover, the snapshot has been completed and it is currently unknown whether there will be other rewards for participating in this event in the future. If you happen to have multiple accounts that meet the participation conditions and are ready to participate in batches, you need to pay attention to the fragmentation risk mentioned above.

CyberTrek is a relatively new activity. Whether it is the account abstraction it promotes or the rewards for users to participate in the activity, in general, this activity is worthy of attention.
