The following are community suggestions that we fully support: 1. Establish a non-owner entity for the sole purpose of holding the label. trademark of "ZK" and similar key names. This work must be led by a trustworthy, impartial and neutral organization or community member; 2. Entity providing free trademark licenses to all owners; 3. Invite many influential community figures and impartial and neutral organizations to participate as guarantors.
Matter Labs promises that it will not file any new trademark applications for ZK. If the application is denied, Matter Labs will not appeal. Matter Labs will never enforce any ZK trademark that it now or will in the future own, except for defensive purposes (i.e. to prevent others from suing us). Matter Labs also promises financial support for the creation of a community-led TM owners entity, which will transfer all applied ZK trademarks to the entity.
