Every 10,000 items of information are sold for $1,000, and 100,000 items of information are sold for $5,000, requiring transactions in virtual currency. In response, the Hong Kong Home Affairs Department said there was no sign of any intrusion or theft of information, and no information was leaked and the police had been notified; the Hong Kong Privacy Commissioner's Office also stated that it had not received any notification of data leaks from relevant departments.
