New AI startup FLock is hoping to attract users to help train its large language model through a crypto bounty program, the company told Decrypt on Tuesday. Through token airdrops, a common practice among crypto projects and games, FLock also hopes to attract developers to build on its AI platform. "We want to create FLock as a marketplace or platform for the community," said company founder and CEO Jiahao Sun. "Instead of creating models for them, we provide the infrastructure so that everyone can compete with their models." Sun added that "whoever wins will get the best incentives from the business use case or the stakeholders who pay for the use case." Typically, AI models require large amounts of data to work, and the original creators of that data are rarely compensated - a problem that has led to massive lawsuits and union strikes. Sun said decentralized AI aims to address concerns about privacy, data storage, and access. $BTC
