According to information published by the independent cryptocurrency data aggregator CoinGecko, this year Mexico, Spain and Argentina entered the list of the countries that showed the most interest in memecoins between April and March 2024.

According to tracker data, users from these countries account for 77.8% of on-chain speculative interest related to memecoins.

Mexico is the first Spanish-speaking country to appear in the top, ranking 12th, with an interest of 2.61%; Argentina follows in position 21 with an estimated interest of 1.10%; while Spain is in 23rd place with an interest of 0.96%.

In this regard, the fact that it is the first time that Latin American countries are on the list, which is generally dominated by Asian countries, stands out. A situation that this year is no exception, since the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam and India are among the first 10 on the list.
