[Ripple senior executive says Ripple will use its upcoming stablecoin and XRP in cross-border payment products]

Last month, at the 2024 Paris Blockchain Week (April 9-11), Web3 reporter Ornella Hernández interviewed Markus Infanger, Senior Vice President of RippleX, to discuss the continued growth of the ecosystem, technological progress, and Ripple's promotion The role of blockchain in innovation.

During the conference, XRP Ledger’s booth attracted widespread attention and became a hot focus of discussion. Infanger shared that many attendees were keen to learn how to launch projects on the XRP Ledger, reflecting high expectations for the ledger’s growing influence and community.

Infanger detailed the resources Ripple provides developers, including scholarship programs, accelerators and learning platforms, designed to support developers at all stages from project inception to implementation, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed.

In a conversation with Hernández, Infanger highlighted several projects that are leveraging the XRP Ledger, such as Palisade, Sologenic, and Phi Wallet, demonstrating the ledger’s applications in promoting financial inclusion and tokenization of assets. By supporting these projects, RippleX not only advances the technology but also contributes to the entire blockchain ecosystem.

Infanger introduced XRP Ledger’s latest feature enhancements, including the introduction of automated market makers and the new Decentralized Identifier (DID) standard. These developments are part of Ripple’s ongoing efforts to improve the functionality and scalability of the ledger. Automated marketplace makers aim to improve liquidity and transaction efficiency, while the new DID standard aims to provide more robust identity solutions.

In addition, Infanger emphasized the importance of education. Ripple helps new developers understand the complexity of blockchain technology through resources such as learning platforms, ensuring that new entrants can effectively participate in and grow in the XRP Ledger ecosystem.

Markus also discussed Ripple’s upcoming stablecoin project, which is seen as a key development in cross-chaining the gap between traditional finance and cryptocurrencies. He foresees rapid growth in the stablecoin market and expressed enthusiasm for Ripple’s ability to conduct more financial activities on-chain with a compliance-first strategy.

The planned stablecoin will be used in Ripple’s existing cross-border payment products and XRP, improving transaction scalability and providing new options for financial transactions. In addition, the stablecoin will support projects involving real assets on the XRP Ledger, demonstrating Ripple’s strategic focus on expanding the application of the ledger in global financial operations.

Markus specifically mentioned the importance of stablecoins in developing regions like Latin America and Africa, as they can offset the instability of local currencies and high inflation rates. Ripple’s stablecoin aims to provide globally applicable solutions, enhancing its potential impact in global financial operations.
