Zero-knowledge proof (ZKP)
Cryptographic technology that verifies information without disclosing the information itself. ZKP is used in blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and DeFi to improve privacy and security.
Many DeFi projects have already adopted ZKP to provide better privacy and security to users. In ZKP, a prover can prove the truth of a statement to a verifier without disclosing additional information.
ZKP has uses, such as digital identity verification, privacy-preserving transactions, protected transactions, and asset ownership verification. Future implementations of ZKP include a cross-chain privacy layer and more efficient and secure use of zk-STARK.
