Bitcon and Ethereum broke through.
Bitcoin recently broke through the $58,000 mark and is currently trading at $58,178.25, a 1% increase in the last 24 hours. Ethereum also broke through the $3,000 mark and is now trading at $2,991.33, a 3.6% increase in the last 24 hours. These increases reflect the growth and acceptance of cryptocurrencies in the global market.
Bitcoin and Ethereum are the two most popular cryptocurrencies. In the first half of 2023, traders sold bitcoin and ether call options at strikes well above the going market rate, generating additional yield on top of their spot market holdings. Bitcoin fell as low as $56,600 in May 2024, diving out of a four-week consolidation between $60,000 and $70,000 due to several factors, including dwindling demand for spot exchange-traded funds and a resurgent dollar index. Ethereum price is $2,991.65, a change of 3.54% over the past 24 hours as of 11:50 a.m. The recent price action in Ethereum left the tokens market capitalization at $359.27B. So far this year, Ethereum has a change of 31.13%.
