The whole point of Cardano is creating a solid, secure blockchain platform for smart contracts and decentralized apps (dApps for you noobs). Except it doesn't wanna just be an Ethereum copycat.
This blockchain is a proof-of-stake network like Ethereum, but the developers claim it'll be way more scalable and efficient. With wayyy cheaper transaction fees too. We love some low gas fees, amirite?! đž
Speaking of the developers, you can tell these Cardano lads are taking it mad serious. Their lead guy Charles Hoskinson is kind of a legendary figure who helped build the OG Ethereum protocol back in the day. Man's got cred.
