A yellow notepad with "Buy Bitcoin" scribbled on it, famously held up during a 2017 Congressional hearing behind then-US Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen, has been auctioned for a whopping 16 Bitcoin (over $1 million). The sign, created by Christian Langalis, was auctioned on Bitcoin platform Scarce City. After the platform's 15% fee, Langalis is set to earn around $875,000 or 13.6 BTC. The notepad also includes an unseen draft of the iconic sign and notes on Bitcoin and monetary policy. Langalis plans to use the proceeds to fund a Bitcoin software project.
