A step-by-step guide to staking $SAGA network using Keplr wallet, the most famous wallet of Cosmos
Create a Keplr Wallet
Step 1: First, please visit: https://wallet.keplr.app/ to download the Keplr extension. If you want to download the mobile version, please see my previous post.
Step 2: Open the page and select "Create New Wallet" to start setting up your account.
Step 3: If you already have a Keplr wallet but are not currently logged in, you can choose to import an existing account.
Step 4: If you selected "Create New Wallet", Keplr will ask you to choose a new recovery phrase or connect with Google. In this guide, we will use the recovery phrase.
Please remember to store your recovery phrase securely offline and never share it with anyone. If you lose your recovery phrase, you will lose the funds in your wallet.
Make sure to copy your recovery phrase to a safe place. Create an account name and desired password to access your wallet and select "Next" to confirm.
Step 5: To confirm the creation of your Keplr wallet, fill in the selected number of recovery words and select "Register"
Your Keplr wallet is now ready. Go to: https://wallet.keplr.app/ to continue.
Fund your wallet
Step 1: You can buy your $SAGA on any CEX (such as Binance, Bitrue, Bybit, Gate, etc.) or DEX (such as Osmosis).
Step 2: When you withdraw $SAGA from Binance, you can deposit $SAGA to your Keplr wallet or any other exchange by selecting "SAGA" in the left menu under assets at https://wallet.keplr.app/chains/saga?modal=deposit&chain=saga
Step 3: Next, copy the public wallet address on the top right corner of the dashboard or click on âDepositâ to copy the address there.
Step 4: Send $SAGA to your new wallet, wait a few seconds, and now you can start staking.

Step 1: Now that your wallet is set up and funded, itâs time to start staking. In your Keplr wallet dashboard, make sure you have selected the Staking tab for SAGA

Step 2: The list of validators should be visible. Select a validator by adding the name of the desired validator in the search bar or by scrolling down.
Step 3: To select a validator, click on its name. A pop-up will appear. In the pop-up, select âStakeâ to proceed.
You can also search for "Omnistake.com" in the "Search Validator" text field to filter faster.
Step 4: After selecting âStakeâ, fill in the amount of $SAGA you want to stake and select âStakeâ again.
Please note that staking will lock your assets for 21 days. You will need to unstake to make your staked assets liquid again. This process will take 21 days to complete.
Step 5: Review the transaction details and select Approve.
Thatâs it! Youâve done it! Now sit back and enjoy earning staking rewards and airdrops while helping secure the Saga Network!
Track and claim staking rewards
Under the âStakeâ tab, you will be able to see all of your staked tokens and whether you have any staking rewards to claim.
If you donât see any tokens available to claim yet, donât worry, rewards take some time to accumulate. For SAGA, rewards are distributed per block, approximately every 6 seconds.
Once your account has accumulated some rewards, you can click âClaimâ. A pop-up will then appear, giving you two options. Either âClaim & Stake Allâ or simply âClaim Allâ, to compound your rewards with the same validator, select the first option to increase your number of staked tokens and increase your future rewards. Approve the transaction to proceed.
