Elon Musk said Tesla's humanoid robot will cost half the price of an electric car
And this is nothing new.
Back in October of the year before last, Elon Musk stated that Tesla hopes to offer Optimus humanoid robots to customers at a price of about $20,000. Considering that this manufacturer has only yet to bring to market an affordable electric car costing from $25,000, while management is forced to compare the cost of robots with half an electric car, as Electrek makes clear.
In any case, last Tuesday Elon Musk admitted that humanoid robots are much more complex to design and manufacture than electric cars, but this does not take away his confidence in the ability to offer them on the market at a cost of less than half an electric car. Now current Tesla electric vehicle models start at around $40,000, so half of this amount is exactly the original $20,000 that the company was going to ask for the Optimus robots. Another thing is that inflation can make adjustments to Tesla’s plans; the company will begin production of such robots no earlier than next year, most likely. #ElonMuskTalks #ElonMusk. #GPT-4 #robots #TeslaRevolution
